Mary Louise Bergstrom, of Buena Vista, died in her home Sept. 7, 2012.
She was born Jan. 30, 1929 in Randall Kansas to Chester and Violet Flinn. She married Arthur Bergstrom on Apr. 12, 1953, in Randall, Kan. In 1956 they moved to Colorado where they lived in Climax and Leadville before moving to Buena Vista in 1960.
Mary was a housewife and mother who raised eight children in addition to assisting her husband with Bergstrom’s Mobile Home and Camper Park, now known as Snowy Peaks, which they owned and operated until 1997.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was an avid puzzle builder and enjoyed watching game shows in her spare time.
She was a member of the Republican Women’s Forum and Buena Vista High School Athletic Booster Club.
She is survived by two sons of Buena Vista, a son and spouse of Burlington, daughters and spouses of Gilbert, Ariz.; Marquette, Mich.; Wyreka, Calif.; Buena Vista, Colo.; and San Marcos, Texas. Also 26 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Arthur Bergstrom, sisters Joyce Abrams and Doris Damrell.
Viewing is Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Runyan Mortuary. Service is Thursday at 10 a.m. at Agape Community Church (Lighthouse Ministries) in Buena Vista. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery.
