Winnie Youngblood was born to William and Malissa Youngblood in Owens Wells, near Durant, Mississippi, along with her twin sister Minnie. She married James Wert "Jamie" Edwards, and they had a son, Geneis Conly. She also had a son, Joe Bertha Edwards, while Jamie was away at war in France. After World War I, Winnie left her sons with her sister, Ethel, and ran off to Texas. She married again in Texas, this time to Richard Harden Middleton. They had a two sons, Alton Lester and Milton E. "Buck", and a daughter, Helen. After her husband died, she married again for the final time to a Martin. She died of pneumonia in North Richland Hills, Texas.
