Christine Oja of Tucson, AZ joined her husband, Elmer, on September 1, 2012, after a lengthy illness. Chris was born March 26, 1924 in Red Bay, AL.
She was a military wife for 30 years and enjoyed travelling, gardening, cooking, reading and was an active member of her church in Tucson.
Chris is survived by her three daughters, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Her loving and generous spirit will be missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Celebration Lutheran Church in Peoria, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chris' name to the Alzheimer's Association , P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. Arrangements by PHOENIX MEMORIAL PARK.
