Douglas Kazuo Hashimoto, 50, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Chester County Hospital following emergency surgery complications.
Doug was born in Springfield, Mass. and was the son of Kazuo Hashimoto of Hebron, Md. and the late Marjorie T. Mitsui Hashimoto.
In 1976, the family moved from Enfield, Conn. to Hebron, Md. where he graduated from James M. Bennett High School in 1980. He studied engineering and joined the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at Drexel University and eventually became an information technology consultant at Computer Sciences Corporation near Philadelphia. Doug had a brilliant mind and many talents.
He battled numerous health problems the last twenty years of his life.
In addition to his father, Doug will be sadly missed by his stepmother, Reiko Nelson of Hebron, Md.; sisters, Karen Torrey of San Ramon, Calif. and Sharon Freedman of Hebron, Md. He is also survived by his niece, Candace Torrey of San Diego, Calif., nephew James Torrey of Phoenix, Ariz. and numerous step-siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, at Deerfield Presbyterian Church, 530 Old Deerfield Pike, Deerfield, NJ 08313.
