He was born June 26, 1925, to Victor and Amanda (Nelson) Johnson. Ken married Leona Marie Leipold on Sept. 24, 1946, in Batavia. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Lee.
Survivors include his wife, Leona "Nonie" of Lee; sons, David (Cheryl) Johnson of Lee and Bruce (Bobbie) Johnson of Rochelle; daughters, Cindy (Lyle) Headon of Creston, Wendy Kissack of Rochelle and Eileen (James) Spears of Lee; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Dena Johnson of Malta and Joanne Johnson of Washington state; brother-in-law, William Everhart of Geneva; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wendell and Melvin; son-in-law, Jeff Kissack; and a great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11 a.m., Friday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Lee. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Steward.
Memorials have been established to Pegasus Special Riders and the family.
