Born Jan. 2, 1942 in Dover, he was the son of the late Ralph and Ruby (White) Estes.
Frank is survived by his former wife, Fay Estes; two children, Marc Estes and Rhonda Lapham and her husband Justin of Douglas, Mass.; one grandson, Nathan Lapham, along with several other nephews and nieces; one brother, George Estes; and several close friends.
He was predeceased by five brothers, Ralph, Walter, Phillip, Albert and Ernest Estes; and one sister, Betty Boulter.
Born and raised in Dover, Frank was a graduate of Dover High School, class of 1959. He was a member of the Jaycees of Dover, a prior member and chairman of the Dover Planning Board and chairman of the original Dover Ice and Tennis Arena Commission.
Frank worked for many years for Hussey Manufacturing in Berwick, co-owner of Franklin Electroplating, and owned Estes Industrial Machine and Estes and Associates. In addition, Frank worked for Equipment Environmental in Hudson.
Friends may call Tuesday March 3, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at the Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover. Burial will take place in the spring at Woodlawn Cemetery, South Berwick, Maine.
