Mary Ann Snider was born 16 Feb 1838 in Jay County, Indiana to Martin Snider and Hannah Heston. Mary came to Iowa about 1846 with her parents settling in Poweshiek County, Iowa which eventually became part of Mahaska County, Iowa. Mary united in marriage to Dennis Campbell on 15 Apr 1856 at Mahaska County. To their union seven children were born: William H., E. Isabel, Martin E., John D., George M., Albert Frank, and Elmer Theodore. Mary departed this life on 26 Apr 1918 and is buried at Union Mills Cemetery, Union Mills, Mahaska County, Iowa beside her husband.
