Services for Wilbur L. Davis, 61, Ozark with the Rev. Hubert Swearengin officiating, Burial was in Selmore Cemetery. Mr. Davis was dead on arrival Saturday in St. John's Regional Health Center after a long illness. A native of Springfield, he had lived in Ozark since 1945. He had been a rural mail carrier since 1955. A World War II veteran, he was a prisoner on Corregidor for 3 1/2 years, a member of the VFW, Ex-POW Greater Ozark Chapter of Springfield, Friend Masonic Lodge No. 352 in Ozark and the Macedonia Baptist Church in Springfield. He served two terms on the Ozark City Council and nine years on the Ozark Board of Education. Survivors include his wife, Roena; a son, Gayle, Ozark; two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Steele, Kansas City and Marilyn of the home; his father, Robert F. of Springfield; a brother, Glen, Bucklin and four half sisters, Mrs .AIlene Brooks, Mrs. Helen Taylor, Mrs Ethel Ponder and Mrs. Delores Kiser, all of Springfield.
