Services Wednesday for Mrs Anderson -- Elliott (Special)
Services for Mrs Bertha Hill Anderson, 85, formerly of Elliott, will be at 2 pm Wednesday in Pontoppidan Church near Elliott, the Rev. Carl R Grabbeman of the Gibson City Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Pontoppidan Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday. Prayer for relatives will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs Anderson was dead on arrival at 6:45 pm Sunday at Geneva Hospital, Geneva, Ill. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mrs Anderson had lived in Elliott until earlier this year, when she moved to Ohio to live with a son. She was born April 4, 1877, in Herscher, daughter of Ole and Sarah Strange Hill. She was married to George M Anderson March 15, 1906 at Elliott. He died in 1950. She was a member of the Pontoppidan Church.
She leaves two sons, Everett, Eugene, Ore., and Theos, Cleveland heights, Ohio; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
