Lee O. Bable, 80, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 30, 2012 at 2:01 a.m. at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 13, 1932 in Slate Lick, Pennsylvania to the late John Bable and Mabel Hill Bable.
Mr. Bable was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He retired from Butler Armco Maintenance department following 34 years of employment. Mr. Bable enjoyed camping, reading and spending his winters in Florida.
Mr. Bable is survived by one son, Randall Bable of Kaufman, TX; one daughter, Patricia Harmon and her husband Paul of Butler, PA; five grandchildren, Amanda (Harmon) Mason, Joseph Harmon, Emily Harmon, Cassie Bable and Cory Bable; one brother, John W. Bable and his wife Peggy of Butler, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey M. Pflugh Bable, whom he married May 24, 1955 and who passed away January 6, 2008; and by three sisters, Mildred Shernock, Marcella Stokes and Rene Smathers.
Friends will be received Friday, June 1, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Reverend Don Short of Grace @ Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
