A native of Melrose, Father Broker was ordained July 26, 1936 at Saint Ignatius Church in Rome, Italy. He served for 28 years as professor at Nazareth Hall minor seminary. Following that, he was chaplain to Ursuline Sisters at Villa Maria near Frontenac.
