BATAVIA – Quincee Barnes-Miller, 15, of Batavia passed away unexpectantly on Wednesday, October 20, 2010. She was born on Jan. 4, 1995, to Corey Barnes and Blythe Miller.

Quincee was blessed with beauty, talent, love, and laughter that unfortunately she and the world sometimes couldn't see. She loved all the good times with family and friends, which will become cherished memories, loved poetry, art, and photography, liked being unique and had a great sense of humor. Her smile or laugh was contagious and could lighten the darkest places. She was the most giving and caring person and had a love for animals, nature and people. Her life will continue through her amazing Gift of Hope, which will allow others to live from her generous donations. From her amazing artistic passion evolved memories that family and friends will cherish in the remembrance of a life gone too soon. She will be greatly missed by many who knew the real Quincee, the one she tried so hard to share with the world.

Quincee is survived by her parents, Corey and Blythe, her brother, Tysonn, her paternal grandparents, Ezell and Mary Barnes, her paternal great-grandmothers Dianah Barnes and Sadiqa Smith, her maternal grandparents Tim and Sue Miller, her maternal great-grandparents Dick and Audrey Miller; her aunts Tabby and Morgan Miller, her cousins Kelsey, Kaleigh, and Connor Miller as well as numerous other second cousins, relatives, and friends whom will continue to live every day working to help people accept others' differences and make the world a better place.

Visitation will be from 3 until 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, and a memorial celebration of her life will be held at 6 p.m. following the visitation at Ginger Creek Church, 2850 Ginger Woods Parkway, Aurora. A private funeral and burial will be held Monday, Oct. 25. Interment will be at Garfield Farm cemetery in La Fox.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name at First American Bank 1789 S. Randall Road, Geneva. Donations can be made to the "Quincee Ariel Barnes-Miller" memorial fund in the care of her mother, Blythe Miller, at the bank or mailed to the address above.

Chillin' with Jesus

The heavens you touch, you are impossible
to reach. Earth misses you very much.
Lost and gone, but a lesson you teach.
Your memories last even as time may
pass. You live in our hearts,
forever with us, forever loved.
