Betty J. Bower, 75, a resident of 835 McNett Road, Montgomery, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2006 in the Williamsport Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Clinton Twp., Lycoming County, PA on Saturday, February 1, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Emma Fry Cameron.
She was the widow of Clifford E. Bower who preceded her in death on April 30, 1992. Betty was a homemaker.
She attended the Maple Hill United Methodist Church. Betty faithfully attended the Dewart Livestock Auction and enjoyed watching game shows, professional wrestling, Lawrence Welk and Nascar racing.
She is survived by four sons, Gary W. (Diane) Cameron, Montgomery, PA; Clifford E.(Cindy) Bower, Jr., Linden, PA; John R. Bower, Montgomery, PA; David A. (Connie)Bower, Montgomery, PA; and one daughter, Mary E. Buck, Montgomery, PA. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by five sisters, Martha Fowler; Connie Fuller; Grace Fornwalt; Sara Klinger and Ruth Cameron and by three brothers, Nelson Cameron, Sr.; Robert Cameron and Harry Cameron, Jr.
Funeral sevices will be conducted from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 40 E. Houston Avenue, Montgomery, PA at 12:30 P.M. on Monday, January 23, 2006 with Roosevelt Brown, pastor of the Maple Hill United Methodist Church, officiating, Interment will be in the St. John Lutheran Brick Cemetery, Clinton Twp., Lycoming County, PA
