Mrs. A. Armstrong

Mrs. Arthur R. Armstrong, 72, of 602 Fairfield Ave., the former Emma Hilda Van Horn, died at 8 a.m. today in the Jameson Memorial Hospital after a month's illness. She was born in Plain Grove Jan. 5, 1896, to the late Abraham and Amanda Jameson Van horn. She married Arthur R. Armstrong Dec. 6, 1916. Mrs. Armstrong was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, the Weingartner Bible Class and the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 105 of New Castle. Surviving are her husband at home; a daughter, Mrs. James (Wilma) Dight of St. Marys, Pa.; and three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Friends will be received at the Cunningham North Side Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Rd., from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home by the Rev. Jackson H. Parsons of Epworth United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Plain Grove Cemetery.
