Alberta Nash Thierry was born October 15, 1916 in Edna, Oklahoma to Charles and Eranie Nash. Alberta passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the age of 95. She graduated from the Historic Dunbar High School in Okmulgee, Oklahoma Class of 1937. Alberta received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1948 from Langston University, Langston, Oklahoma. Later received her Masters Degree in Education in the year of 1955. Alberta had a passion for teaching in the Okmulgee Public School System for 35 years till retirement. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church-Central, 521 N. Central Ave. in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Interment immediately afterwards in the Okmulgee-Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee. There will be no visitation. The casket will remain closed.
