In the 1870 Census, Ole was living in the household of Hallock G. Branson and wife in Eureka, Kansas. His occupation was listed as Carpenter. The following is from the Eureka Herald and Greenwood County Republican, 31 Aug 1872, page 3:
Ole Anderson was the successful bidder at the letting of the contract for building the Union Centre school house. Ole is getting to be pretty well known as a good workman.
Ole died September 29, 1872, in Greenwood County, Kansas. According to his probate records, he owned five lots in Union Centre and two lots and a dwelling house in Eureka, Kansas at the time of his death. His probate records do not list any heirs.
