Arvel Lee Brinlee, 67, of Blanchard, died March 4, 2012 at his home. The son of Bobby Jean (Gaines) and George Arvel Brinlee, he was born January 9, 1945 in Konawa, Oklahoma.

Arvel married Carol Kathy Gibson on May 22, 1975 in Oklahoma City and they have made their home in Blanchard for the last 36 years. He was a member of the Middleberg Baptist Church, Teamsters Union, and Circle C Roundup Club. He was involved in racing at the I-44 Speedway where he helped repair sprint cars. He enjoyed watching sports, OU Football, and fishing.

Arvel is preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Lori Bonny and Tonya Bigbee; granddaughter, Baylee Hussfeldt; and one brother, Charles Dean Brinlee.

Arvel is survived by his wife, Carol Brinlee of Blanchard; son, Jeffrey Scott Brinlee of Spencer; daughters, Penny Park of Stillwater, Angela Brinlee of Blanchard, Mendi Brinlee of Oklahoma City, and Mandi Brinlee of Oklahoma City; 13 grandchildren, Bryson Brinlee, Colton Neff, Nikki Brinlee, Jordan Brinlee, Kaitlyn Brinlee, Nathan Park, Heather Park, Zachery Boyd, Chris Brinlee, Josh Bigbee, Jennifer Bigbee, Zachary Brinlee, and Alissa Brinlee; 2 great grandchildren, Dakota Brinlee and Sierra Brinlee; brothers, Randall K. Brinlee and Denver Royce Brinlee, both of Oklahoma City; several nieces, nephews, and many other loved ones and friends.
