MIDLAND-Mrs. Annie C. Stakem, 85, of Midland, died yesterday at the Kyle nursing Home, Lonaconing.
Born at Ocean, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (Quinn) Byrne and was the widow of John F. Byrne. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Sodality. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dan O'Brien and Mrs. Gene Mills, both of Midland; two sons, Thomas P. Stakem, Midland, and John Stakem, Frostburg; seven sisters, Mrs. Mary McGreevy, Wilmerding, Pa.; Mrs. Bridget Kelly, Miss Katherine Byrne and Mrs. Helen Bullock, all of Baltimore; Sister M. Teresa (Margaret), Georgetown Visitation Convent, Washington; Sister M. Placide (Teresa), Mt. DeSales, Catonsville, and Mrs. Agnes McGreevy, Cumberland; and three grandchildren.
The body is at the Eichhorn Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p. m. A requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 9:30 a. m. at St. Joseph's Church and burial will be in the parish cemetery."
