Craig Hobbs Skorich, Sr., 63, longtime resident of Duluth, passed away Dec. 9, 2004, peacefully at home. He was born April 12, 1941 in Crosby, Minn. Craig was a 1959 graduate of Denfeld High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959 to 1965 and with the 148th fighter Wing, Duluth until his retirement as a Chief Master Sergeant, in 1995. Craig was a member of American Legion Post 71, Duluth and followed his father as a lifelong member of American Legion Post 443 in Crosby, Minn. He enjoyed cooking, writing editorials and he spent much of his free time doing graphics on the computer. Craig was a doting grandfather and loved snuggling with his grandchildren. Craig was preceded in death by his natural father, Warren Johnson and his mother Lois (Johnson) Skorich; two brothers, Steve Skorich and Todd Skorich; and a sister, Sandy Skorich. He is survived by his children, Kim (Philip) Skorich Cameron-Smith, Livermore, Calif. and Craig (Trina) Skorich, Jr., Superior, Wis.; two grandchildren, Aidan and Claire Cameron-Smith; his father, George Skorich, West Duluth; step-mother, Kathryn Johnson, Ironton, Minn.; four brothers, Brian Skorich, Superior, Scott Skorich, Duluth, Kirk Skorich, Duluth and Dr. Gregory (Susan) Johnson, Grand Rapids, Mich.; five sisters, Tia (Glen Lynn) Skorich, Duluth, Sheila Skorich, Duluth, Irene Johnson, Ironton, Minn., Ilene Ollila, Grand Rapids, Minn., and Linda (Dennis) Peterson, Crosby, Minn.; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, other relatives and friends. VISITATION:12 Noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service, Tuesday, Dec. 14th at Bell Brothers Funeral Home. Burial 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15th, at Lakeview Cemetery, Crosby, MN.
