MONROE, Wis.--Services for Edward Bayrhoffer, 82, 802 17th ave., who died in his sleep Thursday night, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Shriner-Neushwander funeral home. The Rev. Jesse Dom, pastor of First Universalist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted.
Friends may call in the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Bayrhoffer, a retired cattle dealer and veteran of the Spanish-American war, was born in Jordan township, Green county, the son of Charles and Agnes Mahle Bayrhoffer. He married Emma Mau Oct. 14, 1906 {sic}. He was a member of company H, Monroe's first national guard unit, which was called into service 60 years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Leon Kubly, rural Monroe; and two grandchildren.
