C. B. Brown Dies;
Funeral Tuesday
Connie B. Brown, 59, of 900 Harrington Street, died at 5:15 p.m. yesterday at Wesley Long Hospital where he was taken after suffering a stroke at his residence.
Native of Guilford County, Brown was employed for seven years at Newman Machine Company, leaving there a year ago to work as fireman at the O. Henry Hotel. He was a former resident of Library.
Surviving are two sons, Daniel T. Brown of Route 4, Greensboro; two daughters, Mrs. Clark Coble of the home, and Mrs. Paul Fields of Route 4, Greensboro; one sister, Mrs. Daniel T. Smith of Greensboro, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hanes Chapel. Burial will be in Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home until the hour of the service.
