Interment: Bourland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Deke Cash, Danny Heiss, Jake Mullen, Derek O'Rear, Shane Pipes, Martin Richter, Brice Stafford and Chase White.
Stoney Reese Stubbs, 20, was born in Fort Worth on Aug. 5, 1991.
Reese was a 2010 graduate of All Saints' Episcopal School in Fort Worth. He attended Weatherford College, where he was on the rodeo team, and was transferring to Texas A&M in the fall. Reese was an all-around athlete competing in rodeo, football, basketball and baseball. He loved being on the lake with his family and friends. He never settled for less than his best. Reese was a natural born leader, admired by all who met him.
He was an amazing brother, son, cousin, grandson, friend and mentor to friends and family. He was a man of faith, loved the Texas Rangers and everything about Texas A&M. He was born into an Aggie family, and his most recent goal was to attend Texas A&M. He always kept his ability to motivate, lead and inspire others to greatness.
Survivors: Parents, Russell and Dawn Stubbs; brother, Corby Stubbs; paternal grandparents, Stoney M. and Julie Stubbs; maternal grandparents, Dale R. and Challys Yates; aunts and uncles, Jill Howard, Tim Stubbs and wife, Bree, Loby Glover and wife, Chandra, Misti Schramme and husband, Chad, Susan Moreland and husband, Doug, Julie Giles and husband, Chris, and Ryan Yates.
