Kathy L. Gruber, 60, Salina, passed away Tuesday, June 2012 at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center following a short illness. She was born September 18, 1951 in Salina to Wayne and Anna (Cornellisson) Morton. She was raised in the Beverly area until the family moved to Green Mountain Falls, CO. Kathy was a 1968 graduate of Colorado Springs High School. She worked for Western Auto, Graves Truckline, and Designs by Cunningham. At the time of her death she was an operations manager at U.P.S. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Jim Morton; her brother-in-law Norman Watts; and her niece Kelly Watts-Goodell.

Survivors include her brother Harold Morton of Ponchatoula, LA; her sister Joyce Watts of Bennington; nephews Mike, Jeff, and Robert Morton, and Kevin Watts; niece Jenny Silbernagel; and her friend Jim Reimer of Canton.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, June 16 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis with the Rev. Ethan Feistner officiating. Burial will be in the Bennington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Kellie Watts-Goodell Memorial Barrel Race and may be left in care of the funeral home.
