Mrs. Alice Batson was born February 17, 1867 at Omaha, Illinois. She lived in Carbondale until two years ago when she went to Paragould, Arkansas to make her home there.
Her only survivor was a sister, Mrs. Eva Nestler of Paragould, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Batson died at the age of 78 on Monday, May 14, 1945 in her Paragould home. Her funeral service was held in the Carbondale Funeral Home. Dr. M. S. Harvey officiated.
