Mrs. Dorothy C Aliff, 80, of Scott Depot died Saturday, November 20, 1993, in Putnam General Hospital, Hurricane, after a short illness. She was a literacy volunteer. She was a retired school teacher form Whitesville Elementary School and a homemaker. She was an 18-year resident of Scott Depot and a member of Teays Valley Presbyterian Church. Surviving; husband, Dr. J. Paul Aliff; sons, Thomas of Hurricane, Charles of Pinch; daughter, Lela Pavlick of Ludington, Mich., Paula Newell of Huston, Texas; 8 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. Memorial service will be 7pm Tuesday at Teays Valley Presbyterian Church with Dr. J.D. Harrah and the Rev. Michael Derry officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the church. Chapman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
