Mrs. Annie Sullivan Barrentine, age 81, of Villa Rica, GA., passed away from the complications of a stroke which she suffered on Friday, June 1, 2012. She was born May 5, 1931 in Carroll County, Georgia the daughter of the late Hope Sullivan and Ida Mae Latham Sullivan.

Mrs. Barrentine was a retired seamstress and a graduate of Whitesburg High School. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Burns Barrentine; sister, Vernelle Whitaker; brothers, Ezra Sullivan and Julius Sullivan.

Survivors include her children, David & Kathy Gentry of Winston, Lee & Rosie Gentry of Carrollton and Sheila Dowda of Villa Rica; two sisters, Catherine Bagwell and Lorene McKenzie both of Carrollton; grandchildren, Rita Gentry, Sam Gentry, Garrett Gentry, Rebecca Schaefer, Richard Geter and Phillip Geter; also surviving are 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 2 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Mr. Tony Sullivan officiating. Music will be rendered by Mrs. Becky Ellington. Pallbearers will be Dennis Sullivan, Fred Holmes, Stanley Paschal, Garrett Gentry, Larry McKenzie and Joseph McKenzie. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 PM until 8 PM. Messages of condolences may be sent to the family at www.martin-hightower.com.
