Luella E Amundson, age 88, of Barron died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Monroe Manor in Barron.
She was born September 3, 1924 at Barron, Wisconsin to Raymond J. and Anna (Frisle) Neck. She was raised in the Prairie Farm area and graduated from Prairie Farm High School. She married Dale Amundson Jan. 24, 1942 at Menomonie, Wis. She was employed by Jerome Foods for many years and retired from there in 1986.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the First Lutheran Church in Barron.
Luella is survived by her daughters Roberta (Karl) Utrecht of Las Cruces, NM, and Kathryn (James) Bailey of Cloudcroft, NM; 5 grandchildren; sister Marcella Kahl of Cumberland, WI, and sister-in-law Ruth Neck of Martinez, GA; several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Dale, infant son Steven Dale, and brother Raymond J. Neck Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4 at the First Lutheran Church in Barron with Pastor Lori Peper officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at Wayside Cemetery. Arrangements are with Rausch & Steel Funeral home in Barron, Wis.
