D. Evelyn Leyba of Denver, a registered nurse, died Oct. 22 in Denver. She was 80.

Services were Oct. 28 at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Interment was in Fort Logan National Cemetery.

She was born May 3, 1914, in Waterville and received her nurse's training at Providence Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. On July 26, 1940, she married Fred M. Leyba in Leadville. He is deceased.

She is survived by two sons, Fred C. Leyba, Carrollton, Texas, and F. Robert McGregor, Littleton; two daughters, Helen Harkenthal, Northglenn, and Marjorie Huston, Morrison; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
