Margie Brown Rumley of Browns Summit, NC went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 11 at Apple's Chapel Christian Church by Rev. Allen C. Myers, III, Rev. James Cain, and Rev. Tommy Richardson. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Guilford County and the wife of Donald Eugene Rumley for 56 years. Margie was a homemaker and member of Apple's Chapel Christian Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and working with flowers, an exceptional cook and connoisseur of antique furniture.
She is survived by her husband of the home; daughters and son-in-laws, Donna Rumley Honeycutt, Kathy Rumley Keck (Jerry), Robin Rumley Woods ( Craig); grandchildren, Shawn Vaughn, Heather Keck Foxx, Kristopher Honeycutt, and Brooks Honeycutt.; great grandson Jalen Foxx; sisters, Shirley B. Jones, Peggy B. Steele (James), Patricia B. French (Elmer),; brothers, Allen M. Brown, Albert Gene Brown ( Geraldine), Bobby Brown (Linda), and Randy Brown (Jane).
She was preceded in death by her parents Allen Jackson Brown and Ruby Busick Brown.
