Dell Kinyon Tibbetts was the second son of Edwin Franklin and Lula Kinyon Tibbetts. He was born in Peterson Iowa and grew up there. He farmed with his father North of town. He married Mabel Mae Fields in 1924. They farmed in the Peterson area, near Everly, Ia, Northwest of Linn Grove Ia and near Buffalo Lake Minn. They moved back to Peterson the day of the Nov 11, 1940 blizzard. They were the parents of 7 children: Delbert Lavern, HNoward Edwin, Frances Shirley, Melba Mae, Roger who died in infancy, Donald Dell and Sheryl Maxine. He started trucking for himself when they moved back from Minn. Later he was employed for John Deere Implement until he retired. He liked to hunt and fish. His death was the result of a farm accident on Nov 8, 1979 at the age of 76.
