1880 Dade County, Missouri Census lists Samuel M, age 50, and his wife Elizabeth, age 44, both born in Tennessee. All of the following children were born in Missouri: Nancy J, 20; Roda A, 18; Serena, 16; Selestia, 14; Sallie V, 12, Fannie B, 10; Charles S, 8; and Rebecca R, 6.
On the 1900 Dade County Census it is hard to read Samuel's name at the bottom of the page. Elizabeth on the next page shows she was born October, 1835, 64 years old, married 40 years, gave birth to 11 children, 7 living. Sallie V, 32, Fannie B, 30, and Charlie S, 28, are living at home.
From the Greenfield Vedette, February 8, 1900 --- Sam Baker of the Bona neighborhood has built a new residence.
Missouri Death Certificate #21871, Samuel M Baker d. June 23, 1913 Webster Co, burial to Bona Cemetery (would be Long Cem, one in town not established) Sallie Baker informant, age 89 years, 7 months, 5 days, father Charles Baker.
The 1920 Webster Co, MO Census lists Sallie Baker, age 51, aunt-in-law, living with William H Farmer, 74, and his wife Lora E, 34. She must be an aunt of Lora E's. This connection to Webster County of Sallie leads me to believe the Missouri Death listed above is that of Samuel.
