A Dominican Sister of San Rafael for 75 years, died on January 11, 2001, at Lourdes Convent in San Rafael. She was 95 years of age. Sister Andrew ministered as an elementary school teacher and as a teacher of mathematics and history in secondary schools. She served at St. Dominic School, San Francisco; St. Dominic School, Los Angeles; St. Leander School, San Leandro; Sacred Heart School, San Francisco; St. Thomas School, Reno; St. Rose Academy, San Francisco; St. Agnes Academy, Stockton; and Junipero Serra Memorial High School, Monterey. She retired to Sierra Convent, Napa, until coming to Lourdes Convent in 1986.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 15, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the Dominican Sisters Center, 1520 Grand Avenue, San Rafael. Burial will follow at St. Dominic Cemetery in Benicia. Memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Dominic, 1520 Grand Avenue, San Rafael, CA 94901.
