CUBA CITY, WI – Virginia B. Bruner, 80, of Cuba City, WI, formerly of Galena, IL passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, IA. Services will be at 10:30am on Wednesday, May 30th at the United Methodist Church in Cuba City, WI with Pastor Debbie Pimm officiating; burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Galena, IL. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 29th from 4-8pm at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI and on Wednesday from 9:30am until time of service at the church. Virginia was born on August 8, 1931 to James Francis & Mildred Adele (Allen) Pearce in Hanover Township, IL. She attended schools in Hanover and Galena, graduating from Central High School in Galena in 1949. She married Wayne Ellsworth Bruner on November 18, 1950 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Galena, IL. She worked at many places in Dubuque, Galena, Cuba City and most recently at UW-Platteville for over 17 years with Food Services. After retirement, she enjoyed genealogy, family get-togethers, church functions, crocheting and time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Virginia is survived by her 3 sons: Gary (Julie Uejio) Bruner of Davis, CA and their children, Justin and Jillian; Bradley (Kathy) Bruner of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; and Kendal (Diane) Bruner of Cuba City, WI and their children, Carissa, Adam, Joshua and Michael; a brother, Kyle (Sharon) Pearce of Elizabeth, IL and his family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne (Oct. 10, 2003) and an infant son Rodney James (June 10, 1959).
