Austin Seay, 76, of 1805 N. Monroe St., died at 1:15 pm yesterday in Decatur and Macon County Hopital.
A retired farmer, Mr. Seay spent most of his life in Macon County. He came to Decatur 13 years ago from Macon.
He was born Dec. 25, 1882, near Indianapolis, Ind., the son of Abraham and Hannah Baker Seay. He married Sarah C. Moma in Decatur Dec. 25, 1911. She died July 28, 1955.
He is survived by two sons, John, Dalton City, William, Illiopolis; two daughters, Mrs. Mollie L. Woolums, Decatur, Mrs. Lydia Hanson, Sioux Falls, S.D.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Burial will be in graceland Cemetery. Other funeral arrangements are incomplete. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home is in charge.
