Her husband, Elmer R. Achenbach, died October 20, 1993. Born in Mahanoy City, she was the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Martha E. (Barnhart) Arndt.
Beatrice worked as a packer for 40 years for Luden's, retiring in 1976. She was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perry Twp., where she was a member of the choir for 50 years. She was a member of the Shoemakersville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and beneficial association. Beatrice was an avid bowler at Heister's Lanes, bowling up until a month ago.
Surviving are one son, two daughters,four grandchildren,eight great-grand-children, and 17 great-great-grandchildren,and two sisters-in-law. She will be greatly missed by her beloved kitty cat Calli. Beatrice was predeceased by a grandson, Charles; and siblings: Harriett, Ivy, Edward, William and Myron. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp.
