Mattie was the daughter of William Yeates & Amanda Allen Yeates. She married William Thomas Morgan December 3, 1891 in Stephenville, Erath Co. Texas. Tom abandoned Mattie and her children leaving her to move in with her parents. She later married George Hackler. She was the mother of Bessie B. Morgan George, William Edward "Ed" Morgan, James "Roy" Morgan, Essie S. Hackler Burgess, Bill Hackler & stepmother to Charlie & Chester Hackler. She was very much loved by her family.
