Gerrit De Leeuw, 75, of Hull died Friday, April 10, in a Sioux City hospital.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 13, in First Reformed Church in Hull. The Rev. Gerald Vander Velde officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery under direction of Kraai-Oolman Funeral Home of Hull.
De Leeuw was born February 28, 1912, at Hull. He married Ellen De Boer January 1, 1936, in Hull. The couple farmed at Steen, Minnesota, until 1950 when they moved to Hull where he was employed by the Hull Creamery. He then operated a shoe repair shop from 1959 untill 1982.
Since February 1986, he had been a resident of Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull.
De Leeuw was a member of First Reformed Church.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Ben of Bellflower, California; and three sisters, Harriet Hallmark of Stockton, California, Bertha Moss of Sioux Center and Goldie De Boer of Hull.
