He was born Oct. 21, 1919 at Hubbard, Nebraska to Herman Albert & Gesine (Muddamayer) Petzoldt and died at the Scotland, SD Good Samaritan Center. He served in the US Navy during WWII as a pharmacist's mate in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Operations. He and Beulah Colwell married on Dec. 25, 1948. He taught school and farmed. He was survived by his wife, 3 children: Sandra Stubbe; Herman Lloyd; Brenda (Jon) Bietz; 8 grandkids and 6 great-grandkids; a brother: Marvin and sister: Martha Bouska. He was preceded in death by his parents & 11 siblings
