Mrs. Atwood was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Teresa Michelle Turnage of Foxworth, MS.
Mrs. Atwood is survived by her husband, Roger D. Atwood, Sr., of Sumrall, MS; one son, Boyd "P-Nut" King Jr., of the Sandy Hook Community; two step-sons, Dale Atwood and Donnie Atwood, both of Sumrall, MS; four daughters, Pamela Samford of Mobile, AL, Betty King Green of Columbia, MS, Ann Atwood of Sumrall, MS and Toxie Peak of Foxworth, MS; a step daughter, Debbie McRee of Sumrall, MS; three sisters, Edith Odom of Pine, LA, Bessie Morgan of Columbia, MS and Terry Pounds of New Hope, MS; three brothers, Victor Merritt, Earnest Merritt and Stanley Merritt Jr., all of the Sandy Hook Community; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. Monday at Oloh Community Church.
