Sergeant Jonathan "Jon" Michael Crump, Jr., age 24, late of Crest Hill, Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

He was born in North Chicago, living in Crest Hill most of his life. A five year US Army Veteran with the 10th Army Recon, serving two times in Iraq. He was currently serving in the Military Police Reserves.

He enjoyed motorcycle riding, facebook and texting. Jonathan was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survived by his loving parents, Jonathan and Maureen (Walthers) Crump; his cherished sister, Stephanie (Alex Villegas) Crump; niece and nephew, Miranda and Samuel Villegas; maternal grandfather, George (Nancy) Walthers; paternal grandmother, Catherine Crump; special friends, Anthony, Chris, Corbin and Richie and mentor, Sergeant Joe Pesavento. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other dear friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Irene A. Walthers, uncles Samuel Crump and David Crump.

Visitation: Monday 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services: Tuesday 10:15 a.m. from the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel, 1105 E. 9th Street, Lockport, to Saint Anne Church, Crest Hill.

Interment: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Wounded Soldiers would be appreciated.
