Ruth Estell was the daughter of Edward Duren and Alice McClary Duren (my maternal great-grandmother's sister). She was born prematurely (at 7 months) and only lived 2 days.

A brother, Elgin, was born after Ruth passed away. In 1924, her father, Edward, was seriously injured when a wall caved in at the lead mine where he was working. He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, but passed away the same day.

I visited Doe Run Cemetery in 2016 and was able to confirm through cemetery sources the exact location where Ruth was buried even though there is no marker for her. I will see about having one made and placed on her burial plot.
