Deaths, Blanche Scieszinski

Mrs. Jack (Blanche) Scieszinski, 52, died Sunday at Mercy Hospital in Davenport. She was born Feb. 12, 1925, in Albia, the daughter of Mell and Grace Downs Brooke.

On Nov. 8, 1943, she married Jack Scieszinski. He survives. Also surviving are three sons, Jack E., Kevin and Mike, all of Albia; three daughters, Sharon Hansen of Bowling Green, Ky., Patty Hannam of Albia, and Susan Kennedy of Oak Park, ILL.; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Roy Bettis of Davenport, Mrs. Clyde Christy of Albia, and Mrs. Floyd Caster of Walker, Minn.; one brother, Dennis Dicks of Buffalo, Minn.; her father, Mell Brooke of Oskaloosa; and her step-father, Merle Dicks of Walker, Minn. Preceding her in death were her mother and one brother.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Raymond F. Schwank officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Rosaries will be Monday (tonight) at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Geyer Funeral Chapel.
