Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mike Lawson officiating.
Interment followed in Red Hill Cemetery.
She was born March 8, 1912, in Lamar County, a daughter of Jesse Norris Daughtrey and Annie Mae Cooper Daughtrey.
She attended Pee Dee Schools and was a member of the Bounds Baptist Church.
She married Lawrence Melton 'Buddy' Coward on November 26, 1932, in Hugo, OK, and was a homemaker
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy, on March 20 1991; two brothers, Vollie Norris Daughtrey in 2001, and Floyd Denzle Daughtrey in 2001; and a daughter-in-law, Jacqueline 'Jackie' McKnight Coward in 1993.
Survivors include a son, a daughter, five grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
