She was predeceased by her husband George Pappas; brother, Landon "Dick" Barnett; and great-grandson Joshua Kiser. She is survived by children Rodney E and June Barnett, Bernice and Frank Munoz, all of Fresno, Robert and Patricia Barnett of Reston, VA. Brother Archie and Maybelle Barnett of Honolulu, HI. Sister Annetta and Bill Padburg of Lexington, OR. 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
After her divorce of George Pappas she raised her three children and then remarried him.
Bertie was a Wood Lathe Operator at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, CA. during WWII. Upon moving to Fresno in 1951, She worked with Singer Sewing Company and Duncan Ceramics.
Bertie was a very gifted artist who was self employed for many years in Fresno owning the Lamplight Ceramic Studio until her retirement in 1967.
