Leaf River, IL Michael B. Plemmons, age 80, died Monday May 7, 2012 in Kindred Hospital, Sycamore, IL. Michael was born September 2, 1931 in Henderson County, NC the son of Thomas & Docia (Case) Plemmons. He graduated from Fairmont High School, Spartanville, SC class of 1950. Michael married Nancy Sigler on September 11, 1953 in Rockford, IL. He was a machinist for Sunstrand for 46 years, retiring in October 1996. Michael is a member of the North Grove Christian Church, Egan, IL. He was a Boy Scout Master for 23 years. He enjoyed fishing, canoeing, camping, and anything with the outdoors. He was also an NRA member. Michael believed in serving and giving back to his community.
He is survived by his wife, daughter, son, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Michael is preceded in death by Parents, Brother: Garland Plemmons; Great-Granddaughter: Alisea Plemmons
Services will be Friday May 11, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. in North Grove Christian Church with Rev. Carlton Easley and Rev. Randy Newton officiating. Burial will be in Lightsville Cemetery, Lightsville, IL. Visitation will be Thursday May 10, 2012 in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
