Son of Miller Eugene Barham and Vera May McKee. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps 1944 at the age of 15 and spent 2 1/2 years until 1946 when discharged. Veteran of WWII.
On 17 Dec 1947, he married Doris Matilda Blacketer Rinehart. They have one daughter. They divorced in 1952.
He 2nd married 22 Dec 1954 to Virginia Zimmer Dehahn. They adopted a son.
Big Ed was a Police Officer in Oakland, California for 27 years, retiring in 1977. Past Master of Masonic Lodges and Past Patron of Eastern Star, and a Shriner. He died from cancer. Ashes scattered from 12,500 feet between the two peaks of Mt. Shasta.
