Catherine Marie Farrar, 51, died Dec. 26, 2003, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Miss Farrar was born in Virginia Beach and was the daughter of the late Chester Tharington Farrar and Otis James Farrar. She was preceded in death by her brother, James J. Farrar and a nephew Phillip Farrar. She was a member of Scott Memorial United Methodist Church and the Ruth Circle and a member of the United Methodist Church Women Society.
Survivors include her sister, M. "Susie" Farrar; her sister-in-law, Martha Catherine Farrar; a nephew, Edward John Farrar; a great-niece, Andrea Hill; and a great-nephew, Thomas James Farrar, all of Virginia Beach.
A church service will be held Monday in Scott Memorial United Methodist Church, 409 First Colonial Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 4 to 6 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the church.
