She lived in San Francisco from 1950 until 1988, when she settled in Eugene.
She graduated from Ellington High School in 1939 and from Chillicothe Business College in 1941.
She worked for Standard Oil in California for 37 years.
She was a member of the Chevron Retirement Club and the Eugene Friendship Club.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening and sports.
Survivors include a brother, Williams Bales of Salem; and five sisters, Evelyn Landsburg of Sun Lakes, Ariz., Justeen Tarbet of Chapel Hill, N.C., LaFern Bowden of Winston-Salem, N.C., Norma Bales of Eugene and Shirley Kuhlman of Federal Way, Wash.
Burial at Skyline Memorial Gardens. Musgrove Family Mortuary, Eugene, was in charge of arrangements.
