Mrs. Emma R. Blubaugh, 85, of 8877 Tomstown Road, Waynesboro, widow of Ralph Blubaugh, died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday in the Waynesboro Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past 20 years, and critically ill for the past three weeks.
Born Jan. 18, 1905, in Fairview, Quincy Township, she was the daughter of the late Michael D. and Mazie (Freeman) Clem. She lived all of her life in the Fairview area. In her early life, she worked at the Waynesboro Laundry for 10 years. She was a member of the Blue Rock United Brethren Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Thurman Hess of Waynesboro; one granddaughter, Victoria Hess of
Arlington, Texas; one great-grandson; two nieces; and one nephew. She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by one son.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Grove Funeral Home, with the Rev. Irvin T. Shultz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.
