My great, great grandmother on my father's paternal side. Born in Salt Rock Township, Marion County, OH to Francis and Elizabeth McWherter Campbell. Wife of Samuel M. Mahaffey, married 1859. They had 6 children, only one of whom survived past age 15, Francis J. Mahaffey. The other children were Eva, Edger, Harvey, William and an unnamed infant. A family register says she died at age 37 "of a fever."
